I Know That Look!

When I saw the pictures on Monday that I had taken the previous weekend I finally got what I was looking for when I spotted the picture of Daddy holding Dax - one shred of proof that Dax got at least one dominant gene from his Mama.

When I saw what he had gotten I just about could not stop laughing. It's only a faint look now, but trust me, Dax has got it. It's the notorious "blank Jimmy H. Roper stare" I know I inherited it. Natalie Ellen for sure inherited it. Brian Owen has got it. The jury is still out on Claire and Isaac. Even though it's not as pronounced (yet) I'm certain by this picture that Dax will have it too.

It's become a joke ever since Natalie Ellen pictures starting reflecting that look and I would tell everybody "that looks just like Daddy! I know I've seen that look my whole life!!" I remember growing up and getting that look and I'd think I'd done something wrong - ha ha. It wasn't until I got older that I found out I had in fact done nothing wrong, that was just Dad's blank look.

In the past couple of years I notice people's reaction to me is the same I had to Dad's look. They would think I was displeased with something- yet in actuality I was really just thinking or not thinking of anything at all. Sadly, There are no pictures of me or Dad with that face... but here's some of Natalie Ellen, Owen and then Dax.
