Dax's Future Fishing Buddy

Caleb Matthew has arrived and he is adorable. We went and saw him last night. He has to stay in NICU for a little longer but Joleigh and Matthew got to hold him for the 1st time last night and he looked very healthy and ready to get out of there!

It's Maw Maw's Fault This Time...getting peed on again.

Since it turned out Mom was home and was easily talked into going shopping Dax got to go on his 1st shopping trip. It was a lot of fun. After we met Clint in Irondale Mom and I decided to eat lunch at Logan's Roadhouse. Dax's lunch was already out of the way so we didn't need his approval - so you would think.

It's an ongoing joke about how often I get peed on. Dax has become notorious for waiting until the exact minute that I let my guard down so as to pick the right moment to pee on me every time. Even though I learned early on to put a cloth diaper over him in case it takes me a bit to clean him up before putting on the new diaper, this of course isn't enough.

When we were at Logan's the waiter and my mother obviously were in a hurry, because both of their actions insisted that I order something instead of finishing changing Dax's diaper 1st. The waiter kept showing up after I had asked him to give us a minute and my mother kept telling me what was on the menu even though I told her if she gave me one second I'd look for myself. I didn't have a cloth diaper with me or the new diaper covering him while I was wiping him off. However, the waiter and my mom were growing impatient so I finally gave in and thought I'd glance at the menu real quick so I could get them to let me change his diaper in peace. So I threw a wipe over him and glanced at the menu and no sooner than I looked away I felt something warm all over my thigh.

Yep, Dax had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to let it flow - and it did; all down my leg.... Thanks MOM - and you creepy Logan's waiter! LOL! It was great too, because all the nice people that had awed over Dax when we were on our way to the table - laughed under the breath at me as I passed them on my way to the bathroom to get a wet paper towel to get the pee pee off of me. It was easy to see to, especially since the wet stain on my jeans ran from my hip all the way down to my knee. It was almost as fun as when Dax peed on my head. ; )

Dax's Oversized Sleeper

Dax is smiling a lot but I can never seem to catch it on video yet but I'm getting close. But when he does get excited, I can't help but to play with him - even if it is bedtime. He's hitting a growth spurt too, so he's waking up (or staying up) all through the night. He's outgrown most of his sleepers so I bought more when Mom and me went shopping the other day. It's too big but no worries, by the way he's eating he'll be in it by the end of this week.

Visiting Special/Important Family Members - The Great Aunts & Uncles

I always loved visiting my Aunts and Uncles, although my Aunt Sheila will tell you different since I called her mean when I was little - ha ha. She of course isn't mean at all. Since I love them so much, I know Dax is going to love them too! I stopped by my Aunt Sherry and Uncle Merrill's house 1st and got to see Misty (Aunt Misty) my 1st cousin as well. Uncle Merrill wasn't there so Dax and I came back later on in the week. The picture I have added of Dax's Great Uncle Merrill holding him was actually taken the 1st day we were home from the hospital. Uncle Merrill bought Dax an AU passy which we are so grateful for since we know just how hard that was for him to do since he is a BIG UA FAN! ; )

After I left there I went over to my Uncle Alan and Aunt Sheila's house and got to see Leah too. Due to it being late and I was on EMPTY along with the fact that they had shut down the oil refineries and every gas station in Mt. Olive had a huge line for gas it finally hit me that I might ought to get gas immediately before Mt. Olive gas stations ran out. So I had to leave Dax with them for a short while. Believe it or not the 1st station I went to which was Mt. Olive Grocery (I think - we used to call it L&L) was out of gas and the next one I went to said they were about to run out. Glad I went when I did. While I was gone Dax got hungry and Aunt Sheila fed him a bottle (she's still a pro). ; )
